Joseph Henegan, CFP^®

Since I was a kid, I’ve always been interested in stocks, investing, and finance. My grandfather used to have me sit down and look up his stock prices in the newspaper for him, and we would talk about investing. It’s an experience that’s stuck with me throughout my life, and has shaped my career.

I attended Thiel College, received my Bachelor’s in Accounting and Business Administration, and after a brief stint in manufacturing, entered the financial industry. Almost four decades later, I’ve never looked back. I’m now a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER^®, and the proud owner of Henegan Financial Services.

There are a lot of things to love about the work I do, but above all, I love seeing how the advice I give and the services I provide can help people enjoy their lives, reach their dreams, and live free from financial worries. Knowing my clients are happy and enjoying life, and that they trust me with their financial futures, is the greatest reward.

I live in Jamestown, Pennsylvania, close to Pymatuning Lake. I enjoy golfing, hiking, hunting, and travelling when I’m able—especially if that travel helps me pursue my love of nature and history in some way. My wife, Mary, and I have two children together: Amy and Zach. Amy also works in finance in New Jersey, and Zach works with me in the family business.

I believe in enjoying every day as it comes, and look for ways to contribute to at least one person’s happiness each day. I try to remember that life is short, and we should enjoy the ride—a motto I try to live in my own life, and help my clients do as well.
